Privacy Policy
Last updated: Effective upon public launch
This policy describes what information DCFN - Patents collects, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. Written short because it is short. Read the Terms of Service in parallel — Section 5 of the Terms explains the license you grant Living Eden Frameworks LLC over content you submit.
1. What you submit
When you run a scan, you submit:
- Patent numbers (up to 7) OR a freeform invention description
- Optional portfolio name for display on your briefing
- Your email address — collected only when you purchase a 30-day access window, used for your Stripe receipt and for any refund or service communication tied to your purchase. Deliverables are not emailed; they're downloaded from the result page.
That is the complete list. DCFN - Patents does not ask for your name, phone number, physical address, date of birth, social media handles, employer, or any other personal identifier beyond the email needed to deliver Layer 2 files.
2. What we do with what you submit
Patent numbers, invention descriptions, and portfolio metadata are processed to produce your L1 briefing and any L2 deliverables you purchase. Under the license you grant in Section 5 of the Terms of Service, Living Eden Frameworks LLC also retains submitted content as part of the training corpus for the LEF Ai engines. Submitted content is not made available to other users, not resold to third parties, and not published externally.
Email address is used only to send your Stripe receipt and for any refund or service communications tied to your purchase. Deliverables are not emailed — you download them from the result page. Your email is not added to any marketing list and is retained only as long as needed to honor the refund window in the Terms and tax-record obligations.
Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. DCFN - Patents never sees your card number, expiration, CVV, or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment data they handle: stripe.com/privacy.
3. Retention
- Submitted content (patents, descriptions) is retained by Living Eden Frameworks LLC as part of the LEF Ai training corpus per the license in the Terms. Retention is indefinite. Submissions cannot be retracted.
- Deliverables we generate for you — we retain an internal copy alongside the submission it was generated from, used to calibrate the engine and as admin recovery. The copy you download is yours to keep. Save it locally when it's ready.
- Your email address and purchase record are retained for the duration of your purchase relationship and for the length of time US tax and business record-keeping law requires (generally seven years).
We do not operate a user-facing retention mechanism. There is no "come back later and re-enter your scan" feature. Each scan stands alone. If you want to re-read an L1 briefing, keep the .docx we generated for you.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to third parties. For any reason.
- We do not share your submitted patents or inventions with other users of the service, with advertisers, or with data brokers.
- We do not use your submitted content to train general-purpose AI models sold or licensed to third parties outside Living Eden Frameworks LLC.
- We do not build a cross-user database of inventions or filings to resell as landscape data. The only corpus DCFN - Patents reads against is the public US patent corpus — not user submissions.
5. Who else touches your data
Third-party services that support DCFN - Patents and may incidentally process your data:
- Stripe — processes payments. Sees purchase metadata, not submitted content.
- Render — hosts the service. Sees traffic logs and files on disk during processing.
- Anthropic — provides the language model used for generation. Sees your submitted content during generation; see anthropic.com/legal/privacy for their retention and use policy.
Each of those services has its own privacy policy. We chose them based on their privacy posture. We do not send data to any provider not listed here.
6. Security
Data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. Data at rest on our servers is encrypted per Render's default disk encryption. Access to production systems is limited to Living Eden Frameworks LLC's operator (Zontonnia Moore).
We do not use third-party analytics trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no session replay tools). The service does not set advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
You may:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (limited to your email address and purchase record — submitted content is held under license, not as personal data). Email TheArchitect@livingedenframeworks.com. We will respond within fourteen business days.
- Object to the processing of personal data (your email address and purchase record) by emailing the same address. Objection to processing of submitted content is not available — that content is held under license and cannot be retracted after submission.
- Refuse to provide data — everything except email-for-delivery is optional. You can use Layer 1 entirely without giving us any contact information.
California residents and EU residents: you have additional rights under the CCPA and GDPR respectively. We will honor valid requests to the extent those rights apply. Note that the license granted under the Terms of Service, which permits indefinite retention of submitted content as engine training data, is a contractually granted right that persists after a personal-data objection — this is the core trade-off of using DCFN - Patents.
If you need strict retractability of submissions, DCFN - Patents is not the right tool for you. Use a patent attorney with standard attorney-client confidentiality instead.
8. Children
DCFN - Patents is intended for inventors 13 years of age or older. Users between 13 and 18 should use the service under parent or guardian supervision. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will announce the change on the site and, for users with an active 30-day access window or one that ended within the prior 30 days, by email. We will not apply retroactive changes to data already collected under an earlier version — but the license granted over submitted content continues to cover content submitted under that earlier version.
